Robert Dussey, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Togolese Republic, visited Kukkiwon.

At 2:00 PM on Friday, May 29, Minister Robert Dussey and his delegation of four visited Kukkiwon, had a discussion with Kukkiwon President Yun Ung-suk, and watched a demonstration performance by the Kukkiwon Taekwondo Demonstration Team.

This visit was made possible through the strong determination of Minister Robert Dussey, who traveled to Korea to attend the “2026 Korea-Africa Foreign Ministers’ Meeting” scheduled for Monday, June 1.

Minister Robert Dussey remembered his first visit to Kukkiwon on March 23, 2023, as a very meaningful experience and had expressed his intention to visit again.

During the discussion, Minister Robert Dussey expressed his anticipation, stating, “It is a deeply moving experience to return to Kukkiwon, the World Taekwondo Headquarters, following my visit in 2023. As interest in Taekwondo continues to grow in Togo, I hope that cultural exchanges between our two countries through Taekwondo will become even more active in the future.”

Following this, Kukkiwon President Yun Ung-suk said, “I thank you for not forgetting Kukkiwon and for visiting us again despite your busy schedule ahead of an important diplomatic event. Kukkiwon will spare no effort in providing support to ensure that the values of Taekwondo are widely promoted in Africa, including Togo.”

After concluding their discussion, Minister Robert Dussey and his delegation watched a highly challenging demonstration performance prepared by the Kukkiwon Taekwondo Demonstration Team as a gesture of welcome. They continuously expressed their admiration and offered enthusiastic applause.
