Honorary Dan certificate awarded at the opening ceremony of the “27th Asian Taekwondo Championships” held in Mongolia on Thursday, May 21.

Kukkiwon has awarded an honorary 9th Dan certificate to Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh.

Kukkiwon President Yun Ung-suk attended the opening ceremony of the “27th Asian Taekwondo Championships” held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia at 4:00 PM (local time) on Thursday, May 21, and presented the honorary 9th Dan certificate to President Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh.

The honorary 9th Dan represents the highest distinction in Taekwondoand is awarded distinguished figures from Korea and abroad who have made outstanding contributions to the promotion and development of Taekwondo or to advancing cultural exchange among nations.

After presenting the honorary Dan certificate, President Yun Ung-suk said, “I understand that President Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh has a strong interest in and deep appreciation for Taekwondo. I hope for his continued interest in and support for both Taekwondo and Kukkiwon in the years ahead.“
