The “2026 Kukkiwon Taekwondo Demonstration Team (hereafter the Demonstration Team)” is officially beginning its activities.

At 11:50 AM on March 20, Kukkiwon held a conferment ceremony at Taekwondowon in Muju to present letters of appointment and commission to a total of 87 full-time and part-time demonstration team members who will be active this year. Kukkiwon President Yun Ung-suk, Vice President of Administration Lee Jong-gap, and other officials were in attendance.

At the ceremony, President Yun Ung-suk presented letters of appointment to 32 full-time team members, including the head coach, coaches, team members, and an exercise prescription specialist. He also presented letters of commission to 55 part-time team members, comprising the head coach, coaches, and team members.

In his remarks, President Yun Ung-suk urged, “Each and every one of you is the face of Kukkiwon, and every single one of your movements represents the dignity of Taekwondo,” adding, “Please carry out your activities with a sense of pride and responsibility, bearing in mind that you are showcasing the prestige of Taekwondo.”

Meanwhile, immediately following the ceremony, the demonstration team will begin a 3-day off-site training camp, ahead of their scheduled dispatches to Canada, the United States, and China in May of this year.
