|Kukkiwon President Lee Dongsup Gathered Opinions for the Development of Military Taekwondo|
At 11 am on Wednesday, February 17, Kukkiwon President Lee Dongsup met with military officials visiting Kukkiwon and gathered ideas for the development of military Taekwondo.
At the meeting, President Lee exchanged various ideas on expanding military Taekwondo training and on combat Taekwondo for soldiers with Capital Corps Command Vice Commander (Brigadier General) Kim Insu and Republic of Korea Army T.K.D Demonstration Team and Taekwondo Team Coach (Sergeant Major) Sin Hokyun, etc.
“There is nothing like Taekwondo to improve physical strength and foster military spirit in our soldiers who are responsible for our nation’s security,” said President Lee during the meeting. “We need practical combat Taekwondo that will allow our soldiers to overpower their enemies during combat. I will organize a committee dedicated to this issue and provide full support.”
