Lee Baek-woon, Vice President of Seocho-gu Sports Association, has been appointed as the chairman of the ¡®2022 Kukkiwon Technical Deliberation Council (hereinafter referred to as ¡°Tech Council¡±)¡¯.
As a 9 Dan Taekwondo coach, Chairman Lee has served as a national coach of the 1989 World Cup Taekwondo Championships, president of the Seocho-gu Taekwondo Association, deputy speaker and chairman of the order and measures division, technical expert committee of the Korea Taekwondo Association, and he is currently serving as Vice President of Seocho-gu Sports Association.
Chairman Lee said, ¡°I feel a heavy responsibility to take the position of chairman of the Kukkiwon Technical Deliberation Council¡± and added, ¡°I will do my best to contribute greatly to the development of Kukkiwon, keeping the idea in mind that we all belong to Taekwondo family.¡±
The Tech Council is composed of 12 members, including Chairman Lee, Choe Jae-gu (Senior Vice Chairman), Kim Taek-su, Sin Dong-su, O Su-gon, U Gyu-sang, Lee Ja-hyeong, Lee Ho-yeol, Im Hyeon-sun, Ji Yong-beom, Heo Eui-sik (Vice-Chairman), and Jeong Bong-hyeon (Executive Member).
The Tech Council is re-organized every year for the purpose of efficiently promoting Kukkiwon\'s major projects.
Following the appointment of the chairman of the Technical Deliberation Council, Kukkiwon plans to complete re-structuring the Tech Council as soon as possible.
