Kukkiwon awarded former US President Donald Trump an Honorary 9th Dan Certificate.
Kukkiown President Lee Dong-sup visited Trump\\'s Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida at 4PM on November 19 (local time), and presented the former President with an Honorary 9th Dan Certificate and a Taekwondo uniform.
After conferring the Honorary Dan Certificate, President Lee said, ¡°I heard that the former President Trump is highly interested in Taekwondo¡± and added ¡°We look forward to your continued interest and cooperation in Taekwondo and Kukkiwon.¡±
Former President Trump responded that "It is my honor to receive the Honorary Dan Certificate and I think Taekwondo is magnificent martial art for self-defense.¡± He also mentioned that he would expect to see Kukkiwon Taekwondo Demonstration Team.
