Dimitar Borisov Glavchev, President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria, paid a visit to Kukkiwon.

At 4:30 pm on August 23 (Wed), President Glavchev arrived at Kukkiwon with 18 others including Mihail Hristov, the Chairman of the Friendship Group Bulgaria ? Republic of Korea, and Ambassador Peter Andonov of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Korea, and engaged in friendly conversation with President Oh Hyundeuk at the Presidents Office.

Here, President Oh Hyundeuk greeted President Glavchev warmly and requested his active assistance in expanding and developing Taekwondo in Bulgaria, including constructing a Taekwondo center.

Currently, Bulgarian Taekwondo Federation (BTF) is seeking to construct a Taekwondo center (stadium, research facilities, etc.) in an eco-friendly place in Sofia, and Kukkiwon signed an MOU with Bulgarian Taekwondo Federation (BTF) in April, with the intention of providing support for the construction of the Taekwondo center.

President Glavchev replied, Thank you for welcoming me and my party. Taekwondo has a spiritual power that allows everyone in the world get along in harmony. I will actively support the smooth construction of the Bulgarian Taekwondo center.

President Glavchev visited Korea to meet with political and economic figures, including Mr. Chung Syekyun, Speaker of the National Assembly, and Prime Minister Lee Nakyeon, to make bilateral business agreements. It is known that even during this busy schedule, he had requested a visit to Kukkiwon, the World Taekwondo Headquarters, through the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria to Seoul, the Republic of Korea.

After the friendly conversation, President Glavchev and his company moved to Kukkiwon Gymnasium to watch a congratulatory performance by the Kukkiwon Taekwondo Demonstration Team.

In this place, President Oh Hyundeuk, on behalf of Kukkiwon, requested continuous cooperation, including enhancing friendship between the two countries through Taekwondo and expansion of the Taekwondo base, while presenting an Honorary 7th Dan Certificate and a Taekwondo uniform to President Glavchev.
