The 20th(1st, 2nd, 3rd)Class Foreign Instructor Training Course

1. Purpose

  It aims to establish standard of the instructor qualification for foreigners and to enlarge cooperative relationship among themselves through educational programs on the unified Poomsae, movements and techniques.

3. Qualification for Participation 

  1) Course for a General Training

    - Course for 1st class : Holder of Kukkiwon 8th Dan Certificate and 2nd class

      Instructor Certificate or Holder of Kukkiwon 9th Dan Certificate and Instructor

      Certificate(Issue Date : before 1996)

   - Course for 2nd class : Holder of Kukkiwon 6th Dan Certificate and 3rd class

     Instructor Certificate

   - Course for 3rd class : Over 22 years old and holder of Kukkiwon 4th Dan

     Certificate or higher

     (The age is calculated based on the year of deadline of application) 

  2) Course for Instructor Training Graduation Certificate

     Over 20 years old and holder of Kukkiwon 2nd~3rd Dan Certificate

     (The age is calculated based on the year of deadline of application) 

 ¡Ø Those who completed the course shall be qualified with the Instructor Certificate

      through the prescribed examination later when they obtain the Kukkiwon 4th Dan

      Certificate.

4. Information of the Course

  1) Title : The 20th(1st, 2nd, 3rd)class Foreign Instructor Training Course

  2) Venue : Kukkiwon

  3) Total hours for education : 40 hours of more(5 days)

  4) Training time : 09:00~17:00

  5) Curriculums :

     - Taekwondo theories(Taekwondo school management, Taekwondo history,

           Taekwondo training method, Competition rules, Regulations for Promotion

           Test, Taekwondo and Emergency Treatment, Taekwondo Counselling,

           Demonstration method)

     - Taekwondo practices(Taekwondo terms and basic movements, Poomsae, Kyorugi)

     - Special lectures, etc.

5. Application Documents

  1) A copy of application form(required by the WTA)

    * WTA : The World Taekwondo Academy

  2) A copy of medical certification

  3) A copy of residential certification(passport, permanent residence certificate, etc)

  4) A copy of Kukkiwon Dan certificate

  5) A copy of Instructor Certification(of applicable)

  6) 3 photos(3cm x 4cm)

  7) Training fee : should be paid at the registration on July 19, 2010

    - 1st, 2nd, 3rd class general training course : US$200

    - Course for Instructor Training Graduation Certificate : US$150

    - Re-examination fee : US$50

     (Those who graduated the Course for Instructor Training Graduation Certificate)

6. Delivery and Registration of the Application Forms

  1) Delivery centers : WTA of the Kukkiwon, WTF member national associations

     and others.

  2) Submission of the application : WTA of the Kukkiwon

  3) Registration : Date and Place(based on Korea local time)

     - Registration place : WTA office

     - Registration Date : July 19, 2010(office hour : 09:00~17:00)

7. Selection of the Participants

  The qualified participants will be selected upon a searching over the

  application documents.

8. Privilege

  The most excellent participant shall be selected and be conferred the

  Letter of commendation.

9. Particulars

  1) Application may be sent by mail and by fax but the original should be submitted

     in when registration.

  2) No return of the application documents and the registration fee

  3) No application after the deadline for registration shall be accepted.

  4) Flight schedule shall be arranged by each participant in consideration of the

     period of the course.

  5) In case of group applications, the name list shall be submitted together with a

     copy of flight reservations.

  6) Prior notice for cancellation of Participation after submission of application

     form should be sent to the WTA.
